This is MARES’ first pilot fashion show, and it’s more than just a presentation of clothes – it’s a story, a movement and a statement. We want to show that fashion is not just about aesthetics, but also about creating change and expressing what needs to be said. This show exists because we want to highlight the challenges and microaggressions that many of us with immigrant backgrounds face in Western society. It’s a platform where we can mix art, music and social criticism to create something that is not only seen, but also felt.
